Re: What makes for a great forum?

In my mind, what makes a forum great is a reasonably broad set of topics, supported by a half-decent set of posters and lurkers. A lot of forums out there, especially for smaller game companies or more niche interests in general, tend to be pretty dead. That's not because they're bad games or neglec...

Re: Mini mounting plugs aka sockets

Nukesnipe: My hero, Todd Boyce (With Hostile Intent) did a really cool set of 3D adapters. This is why I try not to skimp on the underside detail. I'm lucky that I got a virtual case of Todd's 3d adaptors, but then he stopped making them :( I'd buy a few hundred if he got them back into the store.....

Re: General Discussion

Glad you're back!

I too know the feeling of wandering (or having been pulled) away, only to find oneself back here. All the luck in getting that rust off and working on more turns :D

Re: The Code Omega Always Gets Out

I didn't say you did. However, Xveers (I think) said he thought they had DEEP and such. I was merely pointing out that the OD will have the same characteristics as the "free CD" mounted on your units. Well I'm assuming that CD do actually have DEEP, because I'm pretty sure without it they...

Re: The Code Omega Always Gets Out

I’m surprised that nobody has asked if they can be shot... My understanding is that an Omega Buoy/Drone is built using the AP rules, with the best version of DEEP installed and tuned to run at the slowest speed/longest range setting. As such, if it is a drone, it's detectable via Scan range with an...

Re: The Code Omega Always Gets Out

I think we can both agree that warships will auto-launch omega buoys and/or drones. But let me ask you this question: should civilian ships auto-launch their omega buoys? What about armed CFN units? What about imperial freighters (military-owned freighters, like colliers or supply column freighters...
