Re-release of Stars at War - Aug 30th

Postby Cralis on Mon 24 Aug 2020 01:41

The Starfire Design Studio has finally finished rebuilding the "Stars at War" supplement for Classic Starfire! To give us time to rebuild our packages and to put the release out on War Game Vault, we are planning to release the supplement on August 30th!

So this is just a PDF version of the original sourcebook? Nothing new?

RPSA: 1 BC, 2 CV, 4 CA, 2 CL, 8 DD
civilian: 4 'FTx' (made FT out of 40K Imp Guard flamer tanks), 2 FTx (old sculpts)

It is in electronic format (it is not a scan, it is a rebuilt document), and it's been reformatted to make it easier to read and print. The content remains the same.

Edit: I should point out that with an actual electronic document you can do word searches and you can copy and paste out of it, for example copying the ship designs to build a fleet sheet in preparation for playing a scenario. You cannot do any of this with a scanned copy.

One of these days, I'm going to have to take the history data from the project I did with Marvin and rebuild the Stars at War fleets in ULTRA or Solar.

When my life calms down a bit I should work on it. Though I've been saying that for the last 10 years or so.
My last child goes to college in 3 years so maybe then.

Occasionally someone asks if this has been done yet... I tell them to go ahead, it's not as easy as it sounds.

My first one is heading into the Marine Corps here at the end of the year. I've got a minimum of 9 more years until the last one might head out...

No Joke
The first question that I thing should be answered first is, what ULTRA or Solar Weapon System should be used to replace the W (known as the Gun/Missile Launcher) Weapon System. :?

That depends on what software you scan with.

Also, the full version of Acrobat has had OCR which could be applied to existing PDFs since at least version 8 (more than ten years).
